Windows 10: No video output using USB C - Dell Dock – WD19S

I just bought a new docking station upgrading from a d6000. I have a Dell laptop that is connected to the new docking station and outputting to three monitors just fine. I have a desktop with Windows 11 64 bit that I built myself but it's not outputting video to the three monitors. I've upgraded the firmware on the docking station and also my ASUS BIOS and updated all of my drivers. I've also tried uninstalling the USB hubs in device manager and rebooted and it still didn't fix it.I appreciate any help to get me up and running.

Asus Sim PRO Dock problems with video output issue

hi guys,i just bought a nice Asus SimPRO Dock and it seems that i cannot output video from it on HDMI. dont want to even try the VGA. it's black screen nothing, nada.

I obviously have an Asus laptop ASUS VivoBook S15 S510UQ.It has been 1 hours of searching, installed drivers. Is there a way that this can be done with a drivers tweak or better i return it and get something else?











My usb C does not have the little display icon thingie.

How to connect desktop computer over USB-C to dock with video?

Your search on USB-C DP alt mode was a good one. Basically, to support video natively over USB-C your port must support Alt mode. However, that does not mean that there are not other methods. There are many docks / adapters that contain chipsets capable of displaying to monitors from any standard USB 3 or even USB 2 port (you will get more capabilities from a USB 3 port such as support for more than one monitor, higher resolutions, etc.).

DisplayLink is a popular chipset used in many docks. There are probably dozens of such devices. Just look at your favorite site (Amazon, newegg, etc.) for docking stations that have the type of output you need (HDMI, DP, etc.) and that require the type of input you have available (USB 3 with a USB-C connector for example).

There are adapters available that provide nothing but video output, while others might have video and Ethernet, and still others that provide a dizzying array of capabilities.
