Windows 10: No videos work in modern apps on my laptop, is there a fix for this?

Videos used to work just fine on the modern apps installed on my Windows 10 laptop until a recent update. Now all I see is a black screen where the video should be playing but I do hear audio though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you to update display driver and check if it helps. Please follow the below steps for the same,

Steps: Update the audio drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand Display Adapter and Select Graphic .

c. Right-click on the Graphic and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

Make sure all the windows updates are installed

Also try updating the Display drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.
