    No Virus and Threat Protection Tab


    So, I want to use Adobe Premiere Pro but my computer keeps saying the same thing.

    Could not find the shared documents directory.


    I looked up the problem and found that there this thing in windows 10 security that stops you from opening shared files but it's an easy fix. You just go into windows security, click on the Virus and Threat Protection tab...

    I looked through so much but only found one person with my problem and she had to get a new version reinstalled to fix this. I called Microsoft but they literally said I don't know let me talk to my boss and get back to you...I'm not hopeful ._.


    And before anyone asks, yes I've searched for virus and threat protection and it is in my computer but I get the same message every time I try to open it.

    Your administrator has limited this part of the app and the item you have searched is not accessible...but I'M the **** administrator on my computer. There shouldn't be anything off limits.


    I've downloaded Local group policy editor so I could look to see if the visibility of the tab was turned off and it wasn't. I did have Major AV on my computer it came with it but I uninstalled it and then searched for anything left over and didn't find anything so that can't be limiting my access.


    I honestly don't know what to do at this point so I'm posting this here with fingers crossed.

    virus and threat protection

    Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

    I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions

    NOTICE: After, installing 1909 update, Windows Defender, Virus and Threat protection, is / was "OFF". IS this common? Is this a bug? NO MESSAGE appeared in my Notification Area.. ONLY, by chance, did I notice, and turn it back on. I'd suggest.. AT
    ALL TIMES.. 'WHENEVER' MY virus protection is turned off.. BY DEFAULT... I 'SHOULD' BE NOTIFIED! YOUR thoughts on this?

    Virus threat protection

    Hi Valentin

    As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

    Open Windows Defender Security Center

    Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

    Scroll down to Controlled folder access

    From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

    Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently
