Windows 10: No way to access my laptop???

Yesterday i was trying to update windows, but for some reason it refused to let me run the update and required permission from system administrator. I decided to use netplwiz to give my user account admin permissions, but upon entering netplwiz i realised that i, in fact, already have admin perms. I am definitely not tech savvy, and so i made the grave mistake of putting my user account into a group, which barred me from installing any app or updating windows.So i decided to run safe mode, access the built-in administrator account, quit safe mode and restart the laptop and give my user account

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ? Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

 

Laptop problem: Black vertical "sidebar" [Update]

I will try that... do you think I have complete access to replace the monitor cable without dismantling the laptop from step 1? *Eek!
Tbh it's a bit scary.
