Windows 10: No way to quickly take a fullscreen screenshot in Windows 11

Hi,I have looked at other posts which suggest that Win + PrtSc will automatically take a full screen screenshot. It just opens the Snipping tool like another other combination with PrtSc. I tried installing Greenshot but Snippit is heck-bent on making sure I never take easy, painless fullscreen screenshots because it knows I always want to draw all over my screen using the mousepad every single time. Whoo I'm frustrated!

Screenshots in fullscreen not working.

Whenever i try to take a screenshot via ctrl+shift+s in any fullscreen game it will just take a screenshot of whatever i have open under that. I have looked and windows + prntscreen does not work for me. I also want to know how to use win+shift+s in fullscreen applications. I have always had this problem and nothing i find online is of use. this is only on fullscreen applications (mostly games)

I can see that you are having issues taking screenshots wherein the game pauses when you take it on full screen mode. Please see the guide below to take screenshot.

• Press F2 while in game to take a screenshot.
  
• Press Fn + F2 keys together to capture your Minecraft creations.
  
• Remove the HUD and enter fullscreen mode before taking a screenshot. To do this, press F1 to remove the HUD and F11 to enter fullscreen mode.
  
• Press Win + Print to take a screenshot in fullscreen mode.
  
• Open the Windows game bar by holding the Windows button and G simultaneously, then select the camera icon to take a screenshot. Or hold the Windows button, Alt and Prtscn together to take a screenshot straightaway.

How do I screenshot a fullscreen program/game?

I always used to be able to use 'print screen' to screenshot anything, including fullscreen games, but a while ago, it stopped working.

I can still get screenshots of windowed programs, and the desktop, but fullscreen programs or games just end up with a big white box instead of a screenshot.

Is there any way to get it working again without installing any software?
