No way to undo mark up in Microsoft Photos and other problems

Just some feedback about the mark up functionality in the Microsoft Photo app on Windows:There's no undo button or shortcut, so you have to exit the mark up section when you need to undo something It forgets the last color you selected when you close the app It's not possible to save a mark up edit without saving the file as a new copy When you are viewing a photo and click the icon in the top left corner of the app, it takes you to some sort of explorer, but then there's no way to go back to the photo you were viewing.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Restore Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 10

Thanks! I tried it, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm sure it's probably something I did on my end....

I tried the 'undo' but photo viewer was still there after I did that. I did step #3 again and it's still the same. I can still rearrange, but can't view in that order. I don't see the photo viewer listed twice under 'open with'.

    Any insights? Thanks!

Stop Microsoft Photos from opening downloaded photos

    Hi JamesAderman,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Are you referring to the pictures in Windows photos app??

If yes, you can proceed with the following steps.

You can exclude the pictures showing in the Downloads folder from the Microsoft Photos app, by following the below steps.

    1. Launch the Microsoft Photos app.
    2. Click on the ellipse icon >
      Settings.
    3. Under Sources, click on
X mark next to Downloads folder.
Microsoft Photos app will not display the downloaded pictures.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards,
