No wifi option after update help!

Cant access internet via wifi after update. When i go to network connections to troubleshoot the problem, only an ethernet option is available. I dont have access to ethernet as my router is quite far from my computer. What the hell happened here? Searching for wifi or another connection just coming up empty handed. Even in device manager only wan miniports and realtek family controller is shown. Where do i begin to fix this?
