Local accounts with no password will not load explorer.exe I have had about 10 systems called in with issues and the common theme is local account no password from what I've found. Basically after the update when desktop would normally load you get a black screen with a cursor. You are able to do a ctrl shift esc to get to task manager and the open a command prompt. At this point you can do start explorere.exe but if you sign out and back in the same thing happens. Only 2 ways to fix it that i have found, 1. do a system restore to before the update then pause the update and hope they ha

    Windows Explorer Replacement?

I don't use Internet Explorer, I meant the thing where you can look at files etc. Hotkey Windows+E. Maybe it's the wrong name in english though. *Stick Out Tongue No windows explorer running on sign in after KB5027231 :p

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
