Windows 10: No windows updates since 2020? Error on recent

I have windows 10 Home 2019 and except for security updates, I have never recieved an update. I keep getting this error 0x80070246. How to fix it?

Hi, I don’t find the actual error, but your problem relate to same as “the request failed due to fatal device hardware error”. You may usually encounter this error
while attempting to transfer/copy your files and suddenly the Windows OS fails to recognize the input or the output devices.
Here I will suggest some basic troubleshooting steps to avoid this problem:

1. Try connecting the device to the computer with different USB cables.
2. Sometimes the error can be fixed by updating the drivers.
3. Change the drive letter.
4. Redo the activities when the error first occurred before installing a new software, updating the drive, etc.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

 

Who has seen this vista update error

When you go to Windows vista update and it tell you to update a driver that you have already updated. Then it says failed to update and gives you the error code that tell you that you already have a never version than that. WTF? Why in the world would it be trying to updated something with an older driver. Well the only way to get it out of your windows update list is to go uninstall what ever that driver is then run the update and install it. Then run the newer drivers again.

Well I still can't get the Nivida Network Bridge to disappear out of the list. I uninstall the one in device manager and go to the update and before it's even done with that. Vista is automatically installing a newer version than is in the Vista update list.......
