    Hello,

I, like many others it seems, am having trouble with the integral camera on my laptop computer.

I’ve been plugging away on this for a while:

I installed/uninstalled the latest windows updates
-Updated drivers for the system to the latest version
-Ran scan clearing system temp files and registry
-Checked privacy settings to ensure camera was enabled
    -Rebooted system multiple times
    -Refreshed the camera app
    -ran SFC

Screenshot of my device manager/computer info/error screen below. Note a couple things in the device manager:

    · Under ‘Cameras’, HD Webcam is greyed out – this is the internal one that ain’t working

    · Under ‘Imaging devices’, the Logitech HD Webcam C270 is an external one that will work fine if I plug it in.

    · Under ‘Universal Serial Bus Controllers’, you see an ‘Unknown USB device’ that isn’t functioning.

o On two occasions, I’ve actually gotten the internal camera to work by:

§ Disable this ‘Unknown USB device’

    § Enable ‘Unknown USB device’

§ At this point, this ‘Unknown USB device’ actually disappears from the device manager altogether and the ‘HD Webcam’ starts working!

    · As soon as I restarted the system though, it was back to the current state it’s in now.

    · I’ve been unable to recreate this “fix”, which clearly wasn’t a fix at all..

Camera Microsoft App error code 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached<

Hello, please help: (not sure I've put this in the right section)

I have a Toshiba Laptop, Windows 10, with an inbuilt camera.

Everytime I try to use the camera, eg. via the Microsoft Camera App. it shows this error on a black screen:

    Error code 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached<

    I have tried basically everything:

I did every instruction in this link, comment section (first comment?)

    its completely black out

Which did not resolve my issue, so I followed their next step link instructions, the below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13753/windows-10-can-not-find-or-start-the-camera

In the Device Manager, my camera driver was hidden (appears when I begin to slowly tilt my screen, or when I manually select to 'show hidden drivers'.

The Rollback option button was blanked out, so I could not attempt that. Therefore, I went to the next step of uninstalling the driver and scanning for hardware changes.

Successfully uninstalled the driver, and it has disappeared. But when I scanned for hardware changes, a mini window popped up for about a few miliseconds, before disappearing. Nothing happened. I restarted my laptop, but even so, the camera driver is not
back, nor is it 'hidden'. And of course, the Camera itself, still does NOT< work showing same error code, and now there is the additional problem of my driver being gone. The link did not mention this as a possibility,

    Please HELP>....<
