Windows 10: Noise on headphones after restarting pc, maybe this is the solution for you !!!

So, my laptop has a bug or something, when I restart the laptop, there is a noise sound on the headphone. so I found a way to get rid of it! there are two methods 1. Let your laptop turn off until the battery runs out 2. Simulate that your laptop has run out of battery so that your laptop shuts down The fastest way! I will share the second way to simulate the battery running out at a certain percentage: So go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Power Options --> Edit Plan Settings or Windows + S Search "Edit power plan" --> Change advanced power settingsSet the Bat

The solution below will solve (removing beep noise) the problem:

1. Open Windows Registry (regedit.exe).
   
2. Jump to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Bluetooth\Audio\AVRCP\CT
   
3. Create REG_DWORD DisableAbsoluteVolume and set it's value to 1.
   
4. Restart PC
   

But, it will cause issues when I try to change the volume from my headphones. They no longer control the master volume / volume mixer, but still adjusts the sound level when volume up/down is pressed.

So, is there a way to remove the beep noise altogether without doing that registry change?

Note: There is no beep noise when I change the volume to 100% or 0% on the built-in Laptop speakers.

In that case, I suggest you uninstall the Bluetooth headphones, please follow the below to do so.

Step 1:Maksure to unplug the Bluetooth headphones before performing the below

Go to the search box next to the windows icon and type Device Manager then click to open it.

Step 2:

Then expand Bluetooth and the right click on Bluetooth headphones

Step 3:

Then select Properties

Step 4:

Click on Driver tab and then click on Uninstall Device

Step 5:

Restart PC and verify it's not listed in the Bluetooth settings page

Step 6:

Once the above is confirmed then plug the Bluetooth and try to setup.

Let me know the status after performing the above.

Noise cancelling headphones - advice please

Hi,
I'm new here and not too technically savvy...
I have some decent over-the-ear headphones with a USB connection.
Can I use them somehow as noise cancelling headphones?
Either plug into my pc and somehow access noise cancelling 'sound,' ... and/or plug them into something else that's portable?
I'm happy to insert silicone earplugs as well.
Mainly I'd like to just block out the noise from the TV when I'm on the computer.
Any suggestions much appreciated!
(If I have to buy something, as cheap as possible would help! *Smile
