Windows 10: noise when switcing on before login

Hi, when I switch my PC on the light blinks and it sounds like someone is diallling in and out - old modem dialling type tone. It the opens with the usual start up/login screen and works as normal. I am wondering if someone is hacking in ready for when I log on? I have changed all my passwords and ran scans on everything with no result. Any idea whats going on here and how to resolve it?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

  If its Microsoft account are you able to login using the web interface?
  

I suggest you to use the on-screen keyboard and try to login. Follow the steps below:

Click on the Ease of Access icon at the right bottom of the screen and select On-screen keyboard and check if issue persists.

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!
