Windows 10: Non Performing Flash Drive.

My brand new Samsung flash drive corrupts my files after copying from my laptop. The files work ok when i open it on my laptop after i copy it unto the flashdrive but the files does not work again after i eject and insert again on the same laptop.

I thought it was from the drive so i tried other flashdrives but still the same result. I tried enabling the "better performance" option and it's still not working.


Is there any other option i can try?

I would suggest you to enable "Better Performance" on the flash driver from the Device manager. Follow the steps below:

• Open Device Manager (Press Windows key + letter 'X' and choose Device Manager).
• Expand Disk Drives.
• Right click on the flash drive and choose "Properties."
• Under the Policies tab, choose "Better Performance" and Apply changes.
• Restart the computer and check the issue status.

CD to flash drive

Hi Pam,

There are several ways to copy your pictures from the CD to the Flash drive. One of which is by using the shortcut keys to copy and paste it.

We suggest following the steps below:

• Insert the CD and flash drive to your PC.
  
• Use Cortana and type File Explorer then click it.
• Choose This PC.
• Open the CD drive.
• If all the pictures are in a specific folder, press Ctrl + A
  on your keyboard to automatically choose all the pictures then, press Ctrl + C to copy it.
• Afterwards, Open the Flash drive, choose the location where you want to copy the pictures then press
  Ctrl + V to paste it.

Flash drive problem

It seems that your flush drive is having an issue since you've tried different third party softwares to reformat it. To fix the possible error on your flash drive, we suggest performing a check disk. To do so, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X, then select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type chkdsk /f C:, then hit Enter.

Note: Change C: to the drive letter of your flash drive.

3. Once you're done, try to reformat your flash drive.
