None of my snipping saved are opening, I also tried opening it with paint and saved to jpeg image then also not opening. Need urgent help as its my final assignment snips.please help me i'm really scared now for my submissions

"Save As" in Snipping Tool in Windows 10

I understand that you are unable to save snipped files. I will be glad to assist you with this.

I would suggest you to try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: System File Checker Scan

System File Checker will Scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.

1. Press windows key + X and click on command prompt(Admin).

2. Type sfc /scannow and press enter

The scan may take some time, so please be patient . After the scan has completed, Close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Method 2: Save through paint

Please check if you are able to save the snipped files through paint by following the steps below.

After you have snipped the screen

1. Type "paint" in the search bar and open it

2. Once the "paint" window is open, press Ctrl + V to paste it.

3. If the image appears, press Ctrl + S and save the file in the desired location.

If this doesn't help, please proceed to the next method.

Method 3: Create new user account

I would suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue persists.

Freeze when saving/opening Pictures directory

When a program such as Paint or Snipping Tool tries to open/save a file, it freezes. It doesn't show the open/save explorer. I think it's trying to open the Pictures folder by default, but something is going wrong. The registry value in "HKEY_CURRENT-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders" is correct. Please help, thanks.

 

Cannot edit images when saved in Fresh paint

Hi Kamila,

As per the information, I understand that when you save an image drawn in Fresh Paint, you are unable to edit the image once saved.

If the above is true, I suggest that you follow the steps below to save the image in a manner that will allow you to edit it.

• To save your painting right click on fresh paint and click on
  Save as. You will get an option to select the location.
• Select the location and save the painting.
• When you reopen fresh paint you will be on the painting you used before closing fresh paint. If you do not get the painting, you may click on image and go to the location and select the image to edit.
