  1. None of the Teredo solutions here or anywhere else works on Win 10 Home.

    Hello!

    I have Windows 10 Home.

    GPedit is installed manually.

    Some info first.

    - Teredo adapter dosent exist "hidden" in Device Manager, and dosent exist in list of Netwrok Hardware to install.
    - I tried to enable Teredo with powershell. Not working.
    - Added Teredo manually in registry. Not working.

"Group Policy Editor" is supposed the be the best way, but there is several problems with that app, making it useless for Teredo.

    1. "Administrative Templates open the drop-down menu and select All Settings. >>> "All Settings" listing dosent exist in GPedit.

    2. Administrative Templates > Network >
These folders do NOT exist in GPedit at all. ----- TCPIP Settings > IPv6 Transition Technologies. MISSING.

    3. I manually check all folders in Network, but "Set Teredo" does not exist anywhere. Teredo is in fact not mentioned anywhere in Group Policy Editor.

    ------------------------

As you can see there is various reasons why it's impossible to fix as even GPedit for Win 10 lacks settings needed for Teredo.

Two questions as this is impossible to fix in any way. I tried tons of links, and most of it is just cop & paste from Microsoft which means it dosent fix anything.

    1. Why have Microsoft never released a Teredo installer since so many don't have it at all in Windows 10?

    2. Why is only Microsoft games requiring Teredo? Shouldn't Microsoft use same standard as everyone else?

    Regards,

    Rob

    Teredo unable to qualify

    Hi JayKay,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Failure to obtain a Teredo IP address can occur when there’s an issue with your Teredo adapter, when a device on your network is blocking the Teredo protocol, or if there’s software installed on your PC that’s disabling
Teredo functionality. If you haven’t tried the methods listed in the following articles yet, I would suggest you to try them first and see if it works:

    Note:

Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry
if a problem occurs. To backup and restore registry key, refer to this
    link.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to
    uninstall
and re-install the Xbox app to see if you can get it to work.

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    • Copy and paste the following command and hit Enter:

      Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage
    • Reboot the computer once the command is executed.
    • Once the machine restarts, launch Microsoft Store and reinstall the Xbox app.

After reinstalling the Xbox app, open Windows PowerShell (Admin)
again and copy paste the following command to enable Teredo.

netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

  3. Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface is no longer working

    Hi RondaLewis1,

Teredo Tunneling needs to qualify on an Xbox app before it can start connecting to
Xbox Live. If the required network ports are not opened or the
    Teredo Tunneling Adapter
is not updated or installed on your PC, it will probably stop working. To resolve your concerns, we suggest that you perform the following workarounds:

Solution 1. Uninstall and reinstall the
    Teredo Tunneling Adapter.

    1. Press Windows + X. Click Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Type the following command: netsh interface Teredo set state disable
    3. Press Enter.
    4. Press Windows + X again and click
      Device Manager
      .
    5. Select View > Show Hidden Devices.
    6. Click the Network Adapters.
    7. Look for the adapters that contain Teredo such as
      Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
      or Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter.
    8. Right-click the adapter name and click Uninstall.
    9. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

    To re-enable the Teredo adapter:

    1. Press Windows + X. Click Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Type the following command: netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

    Note: The
Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter will reinstall automatically. It is not recommended to install the
Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface adapter in the
    Device Manager
because it may cause issues with the Teredo functionality.

Solution 2. Open the network ports using port forwarding.

There are possibilities that your network hardware or firewall might be blocking communication with the Xbox Live servers. Please refer to this
Troubleshoot audio in parties and issues with multiplayer games on Windows 10
and follow the steps under Part 1: Set a static IP address, or switch to manual IP settings,
Part 2: Open ports on your router or gateway, and Part 3: Set a static Teredo port.

If you need further assistance regarding on the configuration of your router settings, you may contact your router manufacturer.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
