    Hi, first timer here, and I want to preface that I only know enough about tech to get me in trouble. I am also pretty poor, so everything I do is via researching and following information found online. I live, eat, breathe by my pcs and had been doing pretty well with my most recent to me purchase of a desktop Windows 10 Pro Dell Optiplex 790 Core 1.5, 3.1 GHz, 1 TB Hard-drive, 16 GB memory. I am running on ethernet and/or wifi via Vyve Broadband using a CODA-4582 router. I live in a rural suburb and do not have tons of traffic surrounding me. I am in the same room as my router.     Sudden drop in Wifi internet speed while Ethernet speed is ok

    Hello,

    I'm experiencing a sudden drop of internet speed only through my wifi connected device. I use to have 200mbps on my wifi connected device but recently they have dropped down to 15mbps, tested in the same location where I got 200mbps before. I checked the speed on my wired connection device and they are running a steady 200mbps internet speed. I tried rebooting the router (nighthawk x10 R9000) but no use.

    Any advice?

    WIN 10 Creators Upgrade drops my internet speed dramatically

    Running Win 10..got pop up saying I needed an upgrade..which took place...after this my internet speed dropped from around 75Mbps to around 1Mbp!..If I roll back to previous version of Win 10 the speed is back...I have had 3 lengthy support calls with microsoft whereby they remote accessed my p.c. and updated drivers etc...but to no avail...I know I have the latest drivers installed now but still if I allow the upgrade to take place my internet speed drops to a crawl..so I continue to roll back to earlier version.I have disabled the upgrade from taking place for now..however I would much prefer to have the upgrade in place...any suggestions? Thanks

    Those were the steps I too after the issue started. I was able to get my full 200mb for a while, but then noticed it had dropped, and took the above steps to troubleshoot the problem.

    Odd thing: I have a "clean profile" on my computer for troubleshooting, and get the full 200mb there. However, the two other computers in the room do not, neither do my tablets or phones. I tried creating clean profiles on the other two computers and they still didn't get the full 200mbs. Only the clean profile on my system..

    I need tips or tricks or steps to troubleshoot farther, I am out of ideas.
