    Norton 360 AvLaunch component


    Using latest version of Norton 360, and at computer start up, it goes haywire.Check Task Manager and start up item shows enabled Norton AvLaunch component.Cannot stop this process, and whatever it is doing, runs for ages at 100% disk usage.Tried to look on Norton forum, but found it so confusing and difficult to get into, so I am trying hereI am hoping someone will have clues as to what is going on, and if I can get around this.Cannot find Norton AvLaunch component on the web, only references to this is Avast, which I do not use.Have checked all the settings I could find, to stop any auto scan

    Norton 360 Firewall Instructions

    So, just to make sure, you have disabled the Norton and it connects OK, e.g. the firewall is the problem? I would say that the settings for the Norton Personal Firewall would be the same for 360 since same manufacturer. You should be able to input the same
    info in 360 somewhere. Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the software so can't give step by step instructions. I guess you could wait for someone to respond that has experience with 360 or go to a Norton forum.
