Windows 10: Norton say I have 5 viruses mines Windows Security

Browsing through news items get a pop up from Norton saying Ive got five viruses. How can they say that they havent even scanned my PC . Then told me to download something. How can they be allowed to get away with it. The gullible would fall for it. What they dont realise that Windows Security is so sophisticated it wouldnt allow it

That is not even Norton, it is a Tech Support Scam and it is very prevalent on the Internet at the moment. It is good that you are wise enough not to fall for these scammers, but lost of users do.

These pages contain a browser redirect that goes to the Tech Support scam You say in your question - "How can they say that they haven't even scanned my PC" - that is the sort of logic that will keep you safe on the Internet, sadly a lot of people do not realize
this . . .

 

Norton Security not loading with Windows 10 - Why?

I would recommend you follow the below given steps and check if it fixes the issue.

I would suggest you to restart the Norton services from the services list, and set the Norton service to automatic.

Follow these steps to run Norton services:

Method 1:

Follow these steps to run Norton services

a. Press Windows key + R

b. In the run windows, type services.msc

c. It will open services windows

d. select norton services from the list of services

e. double click on it

f. At the top of the window, Make sure the service status is started and startup type is
automatic.

g.Click apply and OK.

If this does not fix the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling Norton software and check if it helps.

If the above steps do not help , I would suggest you to contact Norton for further help.
