Windows 10: Norton Utilities Premium Ultra Performance vs. Windows 10 Ultimate Performance is there a...

If anybody is familiar with Norton then they should be familiar with Norton Utilities Premium which is an application that increases your computer's performance with many of the tools that it has to offer, the application also has a power optimizer just like what Windows 10 has but instead they include features that Windows 10's power plan originally did not include.

There is one power optimizer on the Norton Utilities Premium that has had my head spinning for a while, the power optimizer is called Ultra performance, and then I found out that Windows 10 has a power plan that you can add using a command prompt called Ultimate performance.

My question is, are they the same, is there a difference?

How to enable Ultimate Performance Power Plan in Windows 10?

The "Ultimate Performance" power plan exists since Windows 10 Version 1803.
To activate the Power Plan, the following steps must be taken:

1. Open cmd.exe as Administrator
   
2. Duplicate the scheme with: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
   
3. Copy the guid from ultimate plan
   
4. Set the ultimate plan active with: powercfg /setactive <GUID>
   

 

Ultimate Performance Mode on a laptop

Only available on Windows 10 Pro for Workstations specific builds. Is that the build you have installed?

Same as above, you have to have that build first before you can even see it.
