  2. Not a question just a comment

While it may be slow at times the MyPhone service proved useful to me today after upgrading my Samsung SGH-I637 (JACK) to Windows Mobile 6.5. The upgrade wipes the phone, so I had no contact info, pictures, music, etc. (didn't sync it to the PC I was on).

I installed the MyPhone application on the phone, logged into my account, and got all my stuff back phone.

    NICE!

Thanks very much for your kind feedback.

It's for hearing comments like yours that we all work here at the My Phone team.

    Thanks,

Not a problem. Just a question.

From what I could find out, this seems to mean it won't copy any "permissions" in the properties of that file. Don't think its a big deal. Also found out if you try the Copy command instead of dragging it, you might not get that error msg. I have never run into that error msg before, but, I don't use Drag N Drop ....hope this helps you David. *Smile

I tried Copy/Paste and Copy To.
    Result : same message.

It does not stop me from using it from my ext. hdd. So, it is not a problem.

Ok is the external drive formatted the same as your internal drive?? This problem can happen if your trying to copy from a NTFS style to a Fat32 style. But, I believe that's its only the Permissions in the property of that file that are removed.

My ext hdd is in Fat32.
But the shortcut is merely a copy of an answer from a forum.

Correction : My ext hdd is in NTFS
