Windows 10: Not a valid font file font cannot be installed

I downloaded paid this font from my phone's theme store and i decided to install it to my windows 10 laptop but a window kept popping out saying "its not a valid font file". I've tried dragging it into the personalization windows, use online converter... none of it works. The website everyone recommended onlinefontconverter.com is currently out of service. The font file is ttf. Can't install the font in my windows 10 but it's usable in my phone. Any idea on what's going on?

Problem with install font (is not valid font file)

Hi,

I have problem with install fonts to windows 10.

I have checked many solutions on the internet but every doesn't work.

When I try install font in every from this three steps I have got an error like "this font is not valid font file":

- right click on the font and install

- copy and paste to font dir

- drag and drop to font dir

I have windows firewall enable.

I done another test, first I have copied arial font from font dir and next I have changed font name and put install it. It doesn't work too.

I have to add that I have installed fonts before. I think that the problem is exist from time when I deleted one font.

Someone can help me?

1. This issue happened to some fonts included siddam font as above mentioned.

2. I tried 03 ways to install font: (i) right click on font file and install, (ii) copy font and paste in font folder (\windows\fonts) and (iii) drag and drop font liked you said

and all lead to the error message CAN NOT INSTALL, the font file does not appear to be a valid font file.

Installing new fonts not possible?

Just doubleclick the font file? Or drag it to the font window.
