Windows 10: not able to change my IPv4 address from dynamic to static in local network .tried many...

tried many times plz help . not able to change my IPv4 address from dynamic to static in local network always receiving error like =>"LOCAL networkheading,, an unexpected condition occurred .Not all of your requested changes in settings could be made". And i am not able to change it

Solution was to turn off the computer/device in question, unplug it from the router and then either reboot the router from another device or turn off the router for half a minute, before plugging the computer back in.

I am having trouble renewing an IP on our network.
When we first got the connection, everything was of course dynamic. I changed one of the computers to static and had it working fine for quite a while.
I've decided to put it back to dynamic - I removed the IPV4 configuration in the adapter settings, removed the address /mac reservation on the router page and I've rebooted the router.
When I goto do a ipconfig/release .. /renew it comes back with the same static IP address.

I can't get rid of it!

Do you have a router in this network? If so, the router is dynamically assigning ip addresses that are not the same as in your hosts file. I battled this problem for weeks until I changed routers and entered the ip and MAC address in the routers static addresses
list. Problem gone!

On the win 10 system go to Network and View Network Properties. Is the Ipv4 address the same as in your host file? If not then this is your problem. You should be able to view the properties in the win 7 system the same way.

 

Disable IPv4 from automatically being changed

Hello. I want to prevent the IPv4 address from automatically being changed.

I tried the following:

• This tutorial by Port Forward.
  
  After completing it, I receive the
  following fix for the error → According to the error, it disables DHCP for "Ethernet".
  
• This tutorial by Windows Tech Info.
• This tutorial by Notebook for Programmers.

My goal is to prevent from IPv4 to automatically change.
