    Secondary display not detected

    Just purchased a new hp laptop and upgraded to Windows 10. I'm trying to setup my secondary monitor and it won't detect it. I tried updating the display drive, Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500, with no luck. Not the most technical savy user.

    Laptop display does not detect itself

    Hi,

    In regards to your concern, since the second screen can't detect the display settings of your other laptop, we suggest that you perform the steps below and see if it helps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on System.
    • Under System, choose Display.
    • Under Multiple displays, click on Duplicate these displays and apply.

    Unable to Use secondary Display

    Hi Alex,

    To resolve the issue, please uninstall the display driver of your laptop and restart it. After rebooting, Windows will automatically detect that the display driver is missing. It will then search for the driver and reinstall it. Once it is reinstalled, kindly
    check if you will be able to use the secondary display without issues.
