Windows 10: Not able to download games because of left over files which I cant delete

So I was trying to download Microsoft Flight simulator with the game pass, I had previously accidentally bought it and then stopped the download and got refunded I didn't play at all but there is a leftover file. This happens with Sea Of Thieves aswell. This I think is what is stopping me from downloading it on that drive. Leftover files in the picture. When I attempt to give myself permissions to delete the file there are no options and on the first security page it says SYSTEM is the owner but when I try to change it there are no options to make myself the owner. delete demo games

If you don't want to see them everyday, you can remove their shortcuts from the games folder.

To do this, follow these steps:

• open file explorer
• go to windows folder
• go to start menu
• go to programs>games
• delete the game's shortcut from there by tapping-n-holding on the shortcut
  

 

i just downloaded a game and it will open and shut automatically

• Please specify the game you are having issue with?
• Are you getting any error messages while opening the game?
• Also, did you download the game from windows Store?

For workaround, I would suggest you to follow the below steps and see if the issue can be resolved.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search next to start on the desktop.
  
• Click on View All on left side and select Windows Store Apps.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

Deleting Windows 10 download BEFORE installing it

• Have downloaded Windows 10 through Windows Updates?

If you have downloaded through Windows Updates, follow the below steps to delete:

All the downloaded updated would be saved in the 'Software Distribution folder'.

Step1: Stop Automatic Updates

• 
  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Select Search
  
• 
  Type in services.msc and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Double-click on Automatic Updates
  
• 
  Click on Stop
  

Step 2: Delete the downloaded file

• 
  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Select Sesarch
  
• 
  Type in %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
  
• 
  Open the Download folder and delete its contents
  

Step 3: If you have downloaded the .ISO file follow the below steps

a) Click Windows + C on the
keyboard.

b) Click on Download
folder in the left pane.

c) Now you may delete the files.
