Windows 10: Not able to login to the system after changing the Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE local...

Hi, I have purchased a new Lenovo Thinkpad for one of our team members. Accordingly a local user was created by the Admin user myself. However, at login time, this user was not getting listed and instead only an "Other user" option was available besides the Admin user. To address this, while browsing through possible solutions in online forums, I came across instructions, which edited the Policies for Windows through Registry edit to change the value of a parameter for 'dontdisplaylastusername" to "1" from the previous default of "0". Not Able to login

Please confirm the following things for me.

1. Is your system connected to the internet? You can check this through the network icon at the bottom left corner of your login screen.
   
2. What error message are you receiving when you login with your Microsoft account?
   

I would suggest you to login to
http://login.live.com/ with your Microsoft account and check if you are able to sign-in with your credentials.

If you are able to sign-in with your Microsoft account on the live website, you can follow the steps in this article to ‘Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10’, kindly follow the steps in the section ‘From the sign-in screen’ and check if you are able to login to your system.

I can not login to Windows using my pin and can not change my pin

After added registry value of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\NoConnectedUser=3" as suggested in the web to disable microsoft account login, I am
not allowed to login to my PC and not able to change my pin after restarted my PC. I need your help to fix this.

I suggest you to check if the same issue occur when logged in through a different Local administrator user account.

Follow the steps:

• Assuming that you are already logged on to your user account in Windows 10, click the Start button.
• From the Start menu, click your name from the top of the left pane.
• From the displayed options click Sign out.
  
• From the login screen, click to the different user account you want to switch to.

However, if you do not have a separate user account, I suggest you to create another administrator user account by referring to the Microsoft article here: Set
up accounts.
