Windows 10: Not able to login to Windows - asking for microsoft account login!

Hi, From yesterday my son's laptop is giving this strange issue suddenly that only sign-in option which is available is Microsoft account log in it was local account with PIN just 2 days ago. I created MICROSOFT account for him and after log in to Microsoft screen not windows, it asks to set PIN but the next screen I get is repeatedly "Something went wrong". Please help. Ps.. His is admin account and I am not able to make any changes from my account on this windows copy.

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:



edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

Please confirm the following things for me.

1. Is your system connected to the internet? You can check this through the network icon at the bottom left corner of your login screen.
   
2. What error message are you receiving when you login with your Microsoft account?
   

I would suggest you to login to
http://login.live.com/ with your Microsoft account and check if you are able to sign-in with your credentials.

If you are able to sign-in with your Microsoft account on the live website, you can follow the steps in this article to ‘Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10’, kindly follow the steps in the section ‘From the sign-in screen’ and check if you are able to login to your system.

In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things:

• Are you able to login with Microsoft account in web?
• What happens exactly when you try to login using Microsoft account?

I suggest you to login to Microsoft account through online login.live.com, if you are able to login to Microsoft account on web then you can reset the password and then try to login and check if the issue persists.
