Windows 10: Not able to open certain website after latest upgrade for WIndows 10

Hi

I have this weirs issue on my newly updated Windows 10 Desktop.


I am unable to access a couple of site e.g https://www.dgi.com.my and https://www.pizzaexpress.com.my


The page either does not open at all or indicate a HTTP 404 error.

I tried to use https instead of http, but it says something like "The site can't provide a secure connection .... ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR"

I suppose this is not a secure connection issue.


I have tried clearing the browser cache, change the DNS to Google DNS, clear the SSL history, change the security and privacy level to Medium, disable the antivirus etc. and none seems to work.


Windows 7 did not have such issue before update.


Appreciate any help.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Cannot access certain websites

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Method 1: I would suggest you to install all the patches from Windows update.

Try the followings steps:

• 
  Click "Search" and type "Windows update settings" without quotes and hit enter.
  
• 
  Under Updates click on check for updates
  

Method 2: I would suggest you to install latest wireless network adapter drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Method 3: You may refer:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.

• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type CMD

Open a CMD window as Administrator:

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Can't access certain websites in Win10

I appreciate your efforts and time.

• As I understand you are unable to access certain websites, what websites are you not able to access?
• Have you logged in with a Microsoft account or a local account?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Network troubleshooter. Either search for it in the Search or run it by following the link below.

• Try a different network adapter/connection type if possible.
• Check for Windows Updates.
• Check for drivers for the network adapter.
• Open a CMD window as Administrator:
  • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  • sfc /scannow
  • netsh winsock reset

Also try to restart the DNS service.

• Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click on Run.
• Type services.msc. Click on Ok.
• Then find DNS client. Right-click on it to Stop it and Restart it.
