Windows 10: Not able to restore down amd radeon window

Hey Guys,

I had recently updated amd radeon software well actually updated it several times again and again to different versions because of windows update installing old versions. Currently I have installed versioin 20.4.2.

The problem is that I am not able to restore down its windows or make it smaller more than what is shown in the image. Whereas i was able to resize it earlier. Also the text and whole ui appears blurry too.




Last time it only happened when i updated to version 20.9.1 but then i reverted back to 20.4.2. But this time after an update through windows update for amd radeon software which was an old version, i again updated it to 20.4.2. And now the problem occurs on every single version of radeon software.


My System:

Asus m409da laptop

Ryzen 3500u with integrated graphics

Windows 20h1

After following these steps

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type “devmgmt.msc” and hit Enter.
• Click on View Tab, Select Show hidden devices.
• Click on Scan for Hardware changes.
• Check if any unknown devices show up and expand the Display Adapters listed in the device list.
• If the Display device is listed, right click on it >click Properties.
• In General tab, under device status check for the message. Post back if there is any error message.

i found AMD RADEON R7 M265 in display adapters but when i was search AMD in windows ,i was not found further when i click right button of touch pad for refresh also not found AMD Graphics catalyst.also i not found any AMD driver in control pannel installed
programm list...why?

After many users reporting the same issue after AMD Windows 10 Nov 2017 update where rolling back driver was not working we found the steps to resolve this for all of them at AMD mobility Radeon HD4500 not working after windows 10 update - Windows 10 Help Forums

Extracted steps from this article and post by psylocyble/jcorallo:

• Device Manager
• Display Adapters and right click on your installed adapter
• Choose Update Driver
• "Browse my computer for driver software"
• Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
• In the list choose an older driver and click Next

In our case it was the 2015 driver which resolved the issue for most users.

Microsoft or ATI/AMD have made an major mistake in releasing these updates as we have received many calls in the last 3 working days from clients, for some reason is using Microsoft generic drivers instead after the update.

As per the device manufacturer’s support site, the graphics card is not designed to support Windows 10, the drivers for ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics card are available only up to Windows 8, you can try with installing
AMD Catalyst software Suite for Windows 8/8.1 in compatibility
mode and see if it helps.

• Right click the applications installation file (exe), select
  Properties andgo toCompatibility
  Tab.
  
• Select the appropriate options from the list.
  
• Click Apply/OK.
  
• Right Click the file and select the
  Run as administrator option to install.
  

I also suggest to check in device manager if the PC has integrated graphics or get in touch with the device manufacturer to check the same. You can also get the complete device specifications by entering the System Service tag
