Windows 10: Not able to use my wireless keyboard with new dongle

Hi. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and the connector dongle stopped working. Then I bought a new one and tried to use it, but Windows says the driver is incorrect. When I try to update this driver, windows says the driver is already the best for it. I need help on this matter. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I was working away and have lost the Bluetooth dongle which is supplied with the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard & Mouse 2000.

am i able to purchase a new dongle and am i able to pair the new dongle?

is there a way I can get my usb dongle fixed? It's for my sculpt ergonomic keyboard and mouse which got damaged when I forgot to remove from my laptop and then put on the laptop bag

How do I fix my keyboard dongle

Solution

1. Remove the batteries from the keyboard.
   
   then re-insert the USB wireless dongle
   
   from the computer's USB port.
   
2. install the batteries, into the keyboard.
   
3. Press ESC + K on the keyboard.
   
4. Test the keyboard.
   
5. Try steps 1-5 several more times.
   
6. The keyboard is defective. if the pairing
   
   steps do not fix the issue. Buy a new dongle
   

 

Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 2000 & Mouse does not pair with new dongle

I lost my USB dongle for my relatively new MS Keyboard and Mouse. I bought a used Dongle on eBay in the hope that this would work seamlessly. My computer senses the new dongle but I cannot connect my Keyboard & Mouse. Any suggestions before I throw it all away?
