Windows 10: Not able to use the letter to the left of x key on my keyboard

For some reason, I started to have this issue where I cannot use let's just say letter x because I can't use the letter x, and I'm trying to understand why. I'm using a usb connected keyboard. I've tried to use a different keyboard and the screen keyboard but niether would work. So I'm sure it's not a keyboard issue. I noticed that as soon as my pc loads up that I'm able to push this button for like 1 second but then it suddenly stops working. It doesn't stop working after first push, it's like something loads up at the startup and blocks me from pushing this button or something like that. I

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

  Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)
  
• 
  And check if it works
  

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

• Is the issue specific to a program?
• What is the make and model of the keyboard?

Method 1: I suggest you to run the
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box next to
  Start button and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.
• Select Hardware and Devices, click on
  Advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: If issue persist, update your keyboard drivers from the device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboards option.
• Right click on the keyboard driver and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.
