Windows 10: Not allowed to configure sound output device [Windows 11]

Hi, I am trying to configure my headphones to switch between stereo, surrond 5.1, surrond 7.1. I have seen several videos of people having the option to configure their sound output devices on both Windows 10 & 11, however I do not get the option.Might anyone know why the option is greyed out and missing from my system?Screenshot of issue: https://imgur.com/a/WzUY3e6

Vista sound output to two devices

Ive tried to search this up, but so far I haven't found good results.

I have a Sound Blaster X-fi PCI-E and the Radeon 4890 HDMI audio for outputs.
I have them both working separately on the audio devices list on Vista Home Premium.
I FINALLY got screen cloning to work in games, but audio will only output to one or the other.
This depends on what I have set to default.

Is there anyway to get Vista to output all audio to BOTH devices?

Problem with input output device

Right-click on the volume icon in your system tray, then click on “Troubleshoot sound problems”. Wait for the troubleshooter to detect issues. If anything is identified, you’ll be able to fix it with the click of a button. ------------------------------------------- If you’re experiencing the “No Audio Output Device Is Installed” error, it might be because of your audio drivers. Here are the steps to follow to update your audio driver on Windows 10. Press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard and click on the Device Manager option from the menu. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers menu by clicking on the arrow next to it. Right-click on your audio device listed in the menu and choose Update Driver. Allow Windows 10 to look for the newest driver on your local computer or online, then follow any on-screen instructions. ---------------------------------------------------- If the update didn’t work, we recommend manually uninstalling and allowing Windows 10 to re-install your audio driver. Here’s everything you need to do. Press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard and click on the Device Manager option from the menu. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers menu by clicking on the arrow next to it. Right-click on your audio device listed in the menu and choose the Uninstall device option. Restart your computer. Windows 10 should automatically re-download the latest version of your audio device driver.

 

No Sound No Output device

Running 19042.746 on a ASUS 2n1 computer. I believe this started 1 or 2 updates ago. I have no sound from the speakers or earphones with "the hardware device is not connected to the computer Code45" and "No output devices found" no pull down for choice. Device manager does not show a sound category unless I show hidden devices. Speaker icon in task tray shows a red "X". SFC /Scannow found some errors, ran 2x, no more errors. problem still exists.
Appreciate any suggestions.
