Windows 10: not allowed to use Diogenes software

I am trying to install diogenes software academic tool for using the TLG ancient greek texts database.I am an academic, using tlg and diogenes from time immemorial. The present version also. TLG is of course not the only, but the main reason I use the computer.There was no problem until now. But now, the moment I try to open the setup, there pops a window, urging me to use software from the store. And blocking the installation of this app.Because allegedly Diogenes is dangerous.OK, I have understood the supposed danger. Will you please let me assume this responsibilty, use my software, do

UAC not allowing software activation

We appreciate the time and effort you have put in to resolve the issue. I would like to assist you further from here.

As an initial recommendation, I would suggest you to check if the User Account you are logged in is the Administrator account or not. Follow the below steps.

• Press the Windows key and R from the keyboard to open the Run Command Dialog Box.
• Enter netplwiz to open the
  Advanced User Accounts Control Panel which lists all the users accounts created on a computer.

However, if you are the administrator, I would suggest you to disable the User Account Control. Follow the below steps and check with the results.

• Type in UAC in the Search Bar and select Change User Account Control Settings.
• Under User Account Control settings, drag the slider down to Don't notify me when I make changes to the Windows settings.
• Reboot your computer before the changes take effect.

UAC Turn Off Disclaimer:

User Account Control (UAC) can help you prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. It works by prompting you for permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings that affect other users. We
don't recommend turning User Account Control off. If you do turn it off, you should turn it back on as soon as possible.

Additionally, I would also suggest you to enable the
built in administrator account and check if it helps you through the process of the
Power DVD product activation.

You need to run the command from an elevated command prompt. To do that you need to do the following:

• Press the Windows key t+ R from the keyboard to open the Run Command Dialog Box
• Enter cmd and right-click on the Command Prompt result that should appear.
  
• This opens a list of options at the bottom. Select Run as administrator there.
  
• Accept the UAC prompt
• Enter the following command to enable the hidden administrator account:
  net user administrator /active:yes

'Allow a device to connect' is greyed out

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Run Hardware and Device troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your USB Port. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top
  right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to check the Bluetooth Settings and check if it helps.

  Open Control Panel by clicking the
  Windows + X,
  
• 
  In the Control Panel search box, type
  Bluetooth, and then click Change Bluetooth settings.
  
• 
  In the Bluetooth Settings dialog box, click the
  Options tab and do any of the following:

  To make your computer discoverable to Bluetooth enabled devices, select the check box for
  Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer.
  
• 
  To allow you to add Bluetooth enabled devices to your computer, select the check box for
  Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer.
  
• 
  To be notified when a Bluetooth enabled device is trying to connect to your computer, select the check box for
  Alert me when a new Bluetooth device wants to connect.
