Windows 10: Not downloading antivirus KB2267602 version 1.303.375.0

Hi, I have a laptop with Microsoft windows 10 home installed X64 based PC...…...unable to install antivirus KB226702 version 1.303.375.0


I think I have a virus that will not allow me to connect to my router, except with a ethernet connection, also I have carried out a reset twice and run defender numerous times, but the software is not detecting the virus.

Good Antivirus + Firewall

I would never put anything Norton on my computer.

Nod32 is arguably the best antivirus. AVG is likely not as good, but it's free and at least pretty good.

Firewalls, I'd put Comodo and whatever "Tiny Personal Firewall" is named nowadays on your short list. I think Kerio might have sold it now and it's named something else. Otherwise, just put Comodo on your short list. I think the current version's ease of use has taken a step backwards, seems a bit counter-intuitive when trying to do certain things with it, but overall it does a good job and the price is right.

 

latest definition for defender stuck downloading 0

There's a 1.285.440.0 out now. Three of my machines (all 1809, x64 Pro, x64 Home and x86 Home) are stuck at 0% on that one too.

However, an 1803 machine downloaded 1.285.440.0 without a problem.



Edit: The odd thing is, despite showing 0% downloaded, after a Restart two out of the three 1809 machines now say that 1.285.440.0 installed successfully. The third fails to download or install the definitions update, either in windows update or by checking in Defender itself.
