Not getting the in between updates

I am running w10 prof 1803. I get the Tuesday updates automatically. Then I by chance (that is, not always) read of new updates in the interim, that is between the monthly Tuesday updates and if I do not get them in a few days I do a manual check for updates and I always get the reply that my system is up to date and no updates are available. I, perhaps foolishly so, assume that the automatic update system is telling me the truth. However at times my system acts up and some apps do not work well and so after spending time checking the app and troubleshooting it I get to the point where I check and download the latest update that may be over a week old and it helps. Now everything I read about the updates tell me that they will be downloaded automatically and, apart from the Tuesday monthly updates, they do not. Is there some reason why this is so? I am asking because each time the machine acts up it takes a bit of time to check all.

Is there something I need to do (apart from using the troubleshooter which never finds anything that needs fixing) to get these in between monthly Tuesday updates automatically.

The latest was my office 2016 (prof plus) not working well and spending over 10 hours trying to troubleshoot all. I hypothesize this all started after the intel update on 9/20 on my system, now that troublemaker did update automatically. These updates in W10, unlike earlier versions of windows, really impact the way apps work and is causing me to lose quite a bit of work time checking and fixing. I guess that is why ms states they are being updated automatically. Only that is not really happening and when it does not it costs work production time. Help!

Thanks for any assistance that can be provided

    :)

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:
    • CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
    • Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
    • New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
    • New S-spec and MM numbers
    • New halide-free chip package
Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
