Windows 10: Not receiving email to reset my laptop PIN

My PIN on my laptop won’t work though I’m sure of the PIN itself. When I press on forgot PIN it redirects me to Microsoft where I enter my email and supposedly get sent a code to enter. When the next page appears to enter the code I don’t receive anything on my email and yes I have:-checked if the email is correct or not-checked the WiFi-restarted it-tried another time-tried opening outlook on both the APP and the WEBSITE-tried opening the email from multiple devicesthe email works perfectly fine and I receive emails on it throughout this process that’s been going for three days trying to acc

Ok this is an update

I logged in to my account from another laptop.

2 step verification isn't enabled

In the security page, there is no option to reset PIN, only an option to reset email password "Which I can't use to log into the laptop"

However, it would be great if you can help us with the details requested below:

• How are you accessing your emails on your computer? (Browser/email client)
  
• Do you receive an error message/code?
  
• Were you able to receive emails earlier?
  

If you are using Windows Mail app to check your emails, you may want to refer the steps mentioned in the article

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Hi Dyari,

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.
