Windows 10: Not Receiving Security Codes

I am trying to sign into my account on a new device. The Microsoft login page directed me to send a code to another email address that I have on file. I did so, but no email came through. I tried several times; nothing happened. It asked if I wanted to add a different verification method, so I re-added the same email address. This time, a confirmation email came through, and when I tried to confirm it, I got an error saying "We're not ready for you yet, your account is still in the waiting period." I really need to get into my account because I need to access my BitLocker key, but I do n

Security codes are being sent to your email address or phone number that you've used to verify your account. Also, this serves as a security feature that will verify that you're the only one using the account. One of the possible reasons why you haven't
received the security code is due to a busy server.

• Have you tried checking your Junk Folder and check if the email was sent there?
• Did you check if it was sent to your alternate email address?
• How long are you waiting from the time you have requested for a security code?
