Windows 10: not receiving shared files

I am not receiving shared files and if I share a file the person I shared the file with does not receive the file. Why would this be?

• Did you perform any Windows update recently?
• Are you connected to Domain network?

WiFi file sharing and Receiving

We always disappoint that our Android friends share/receive file via WiFi but we can't receive and share file via WiFi but there is way you can share/receive file via WiFi just follow simple step and
you will enjoy your windows device.

1) - Just turn on your Android friend WiFi hot spot and connect it without switching on data connection.

2) - If your friend using Super beam, software data cable or ES file explorer then after selecting require file there is option share to computer or other devices which is not using this same software.

3) - Then it show some link like 192.168.47.3:**** or 194.165.45.3:**** then just copy and paste link in web browser it will show that file which your friend selected in his device, just click on that file
and download it with out any data charges, you will receive big file in few second after that just enjoy.

• Aside from installing an update, have you also made any recent changes to the HomeGroup settings?
• What specific update have you installed before the file sharing stopped working? To check the Update history, follow these steps:

• On the Search bar, type Settings.
• Open the Settings app from the search result.
• Click Update & security and check the Windows Update section.
• Click the Update history link.

• Have you already checked if the file and printer sharing is enabled in the
  Advanced sharing settings in the Control Panel?
• What build and version of Windows 10 are you using?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried based on the threads that you've read?

For initial troubleshooting, you can run the built-in troubleshooter for HomeGroup by following the steps below:

• On the Search bar, type Troubleshoot.
• Open the Control Panel from the search result.
• Click View all and locate HomeGroup.
• Click HomeGroup and follow the on-screen guide to run the troubleshooter.
