    Not receiving two-step verification code via text


    I've forgotten my password to my windows account which is the only admin account.


    I've received the code via backup email and I've tried to get the second via text. I've clicked it so many times that it gave me an error message saying "You've requested too many codes today. Please try again tomorrow." I've checked my phone's text settings and there are no issues. Why not just give me a call with the code then?? Please help Microsoft!!

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft community. I will certainly assist you with the issue.

    I suggest you to turn off the two-step verification in the Microsoft account and check if it helps.

    Refer to the steps given in the link below:

    Note: If two step verification is turned off, you will have to verify your identity with security codes periodically, when there might be a risk to your account security.
