Windows 10: Not receiving verification code from Microsoft Store.

Greetings,I received a gift purchase for a game and was able to redeem it by following the link in the email I received. After redeeming, I was directed to download the game in the Microsoft Store. When I tried to login to the Microsoft Store, it says that it has sent a code to my email, so I checked and the email was nowhere to be found.I tried resending the code, checking my spam folder, checking my email filters, ensuring the email is correct, waiting a day or two and trying again, logging out and logging back in, and nothing has worked so far.Since I was able to receive the gift in my emai

• Where exactly do you get the prompt/notification to verify the email address?
  
• How are you trying to verify the email?
  

However, you can try using other options to request the verification code i.e. requesting the code over a call or as a text to your phone number and see if that helps in resolving the issue.

Are verification codes Free ?

Are they ? After a code received, it doesn't seem that it deducts from mobile balance, perhaps it deducts after a month or so.

Google and Microsoft use 2 step verification codes but are the free ?
