Lumia1020 with external mic doesn't work

I attached external mic(RODE VideoMic) on my lumia1020 with TRRS(CTIA) adapter but my phone still recording with it's internal mic.

I tried voice recorder, 3rd party recorder and video but no app used external mic.

Is there any specific setting to activate external mic?

Or external mic feature just locked in win10 just like 2nd mic?

Or is it simply a matter of CTIA or OMTP?

My phone has Lumia Cyan 1.2.17.0

 

Computer Won't Use Headphone Mic

I did all the steps you told me to. I changed the mic to my headset mic and restarted my computer. I used an online mic tester and spoke into the mic. All I heard was static. I changed to my internal(built-in) mic and I heard my voice clearly. Is there any other way to fix my mic issue?

  Are you using windows built-in voice recorder or any other 3rd party voice recorder application?

  If you are using Build in Windows recorder, how did you put the flag?
  

If you are using built-in Windows recorder, there is no option to put a flag on recorded voice. Provide us the screenshot of recording interface with Flag.
