Windows 10: Not sure what subject to put this in

    Not sure what subject to put this in


    So day before my computer said it had an update so I selected the update and shut down option after that I started the computer to make sure it updated but it hadn't so I chose update and restart but it still did not update next day I logged into my computer and it feels like everything was reset I'm missing a lot of programs I had on my computer the day before I was signed out of many things like my steam account, Gmail and had to reinstall discord and my old wallpaper was also gone I have no Idea what is going on please help thank you.

    Replying to an email from Windows Phone 7 device with a subject line, this shows as (no subject) in Outlook 2010

    Hello everyone,

    When using Outlook in Conversation View the Subject is the very first line. When expanding the conversation to reveal all the others who have replied the subject is not listed. This is By Design. The only way to get the other replies to display the
    Subject is to switch out of Conversation view. Once I switch out of Conversation view each reply to the e-mail thread has its own Subject line.



    If the above does not reflect what you're experiencing please list the exact steps you're taking so that we can
    better understand the issue.

    Is your problem that you were missing

    New > Text Document

    from the right-click context menu

    or that when you try to open a *.txt file by double-clicking the file doesn't open in Notepad (or with whatever other application you'd like to use)?

    If its the right-click context menu problem, then Frederik's solution should work for you.

    If it's a file association problem,

    1. What happens when you double-click a *.txt file?
    2. What is the complete text of the error message?
    3. What happens if you select Open with > Choose default program, select Notepad from the list, and click OK?
    4. If step 3 works properly, make sure to check the box to "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file."
