    Not understanding the Clipboard in Windows 11


    Hi. I started using the new Clipboard on Windows 11 & found it to be very frustrating!!! I clearly understand how to use the Clipboard. Maybe I’m alone, but what I don’t understand is why can’t the Clipboard stay open while you are pasting multiple items & even repeatedly pasting several times in a document, etc. Having to open Win + V every time I need to paste an item? I think is constantly repeating steps that are unnecessary. Why couldn’t Microsoft have the Clipboard stay open & let you manually close it when you are finished using it?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter
    And also refer the link below and check if it helps.

    Pasting from clipboard

    Thank you, The first suggestion worked. The second did also provided I did not click in the Paint window first.

    I'd spent some time trying to work it out for myself but was fooled by the clipboard window always closing prematurely. So thanks again.

    Also thanks to Frederick, although solved, I've noted your alternative suggestion.

    I just downloaded clipboard to my windows 10 desktop computer. I took a screenshot and opened clipboard but can't figure out how to view it. Is there a step by step tutorial on how to use clipboard? There are only two settings with no directions on how
    to use them. I thought if I save something to clipboard it would be there when I opened the app as it was in windows 7 and XP. All I am getting is a black and orange screen with a clipboard in the middle. I don't want to share I just want to open what I've
    copied to it.......
