Windows 10: Note able to install Firefly driver in testmode in win 10

Hi,I built the firefly sample driver and try to install it on win 10 with TESTSIGN mode, but not able to install based on the installation recommendation from the README. https://github.com/microsoft/Windows-driver-samples/tree/main/hid/fireflyThere is no obvious error related to installation from the system event log. Please help if there is any additional OS policy that I need to configurate in order to installed the sample driver.

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

Windows 10: will drivers installed using testmode still work then testmode is disabled?

I have a general understanding problem with Windows Testmode and how to install unsigned drivers: I understand that if I have drivers (in my case for an USB to RS232 serial adapter) that are not digitally signed by the vendor, I can boot Windows into testmode using for example

these drivers can be installed, and this actually works in my current case.

However, the thing I am not really sure about is what will happen if I disable testsigning afterwards using

In theory, as far as I understand, the drivers should stop working. But practically, what I find on my Windows 10 x64 Pro testsystem is that the drivers are still fully functional. Windows also shows the drivers as not digitally signed in device manager, but still uses them, without any warning.

My question simply is: is that the way it is intended to work (i.e. install drivers in testmode, and the functionality will be persistent even if I reboot into normal mode), or am I having some strange side effect here?

I keep getting the following error message when I try to start a wireless camera program called firefly. Message reads;

Miscosoft visual C++ visual library

Runtime Error!

program C:\Program Files (x86)\Firefly\FireflyPro\FireflyPro.exe

abnormal program termination.

Can anybody help please?
