Windows 10: Notebook does not wake up from suspension

Hi, my notebook suddenly isn't waking up from suspension mode anymore when I try to move the mouse or press any key. I use it connected to a external display, and now I can only wake it up if I open the lid. Also, sometimes even that does not work, so I have to force shutdown by holding the power button, and in the worst cases I have to do it several times before getting it to turn on again.Can anyone help me getting a solution to this? Thanks.

Notebook won't wake from sleep

I see that the ASUS 56C notebook won’t wake after sleep mode. This might be due to the corruption of Power management.

I suggest you to try running the Power Troubleshooter to check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Method 1: Run the Power troubleshooter on the system.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Power troubleshooter

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the display drivers on your computer and check if it helps. Refer the below steps to update the driver.

1.
Press “Windows + X” and select Device manager.

2.
Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.

3.
Right click on the driver icon and click on
Update.

4.
Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

5.
Restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Cortana Notebook

In order to enable the Notebook icon in Cortana, I suggest you to check if you have enabled Cortana.

To enable Cortana, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Cortana.
• Go to Settings.
• Turn on “Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts”.
