    Notebook on start menu


    On my PC, when i begin typing in the search bar on start, a bar appears on the far left of my screen. There are 3 line cortana then a house home and then a notebook notebook. On my new laptop, when I begin typing, there is no left bar and I have no way of accessing notebook. Does anyone know how to enable this left bar?

    Windows 10 Start menu is empty

    Hi. Steps 1 and 2 didn't do much but step 3 has restored what looks like the list of original Microsoft apps but no sign of any of the many apps I have installed. And there are no tiles in the start menu. Any suggestions please?

    Notebook on start menu

    Cortana Notebook

    In order to enable the Notebook icon in Cortana, I suggest you to check if you have enabled Cortana.

    To enable Cortana, please follow the steps below:

    • Go to Cortana.
    • Go to Settings.
    • Turn on “Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts”.
