[notebook] system restarts after sleep if power cable is plugged in

    Hi,

On my notebook (Acer Travelmate 4730), if the power cable is plugged in, the system always restarts automatically after it is woken up from sleep. whether the battery is removed or not. No such a problem if un-plugged.

That happened after a certain Win10 update which I don't remember. (Automatic updating is disabled and the Win10 version stops at 1709 build 16299.492.)

    Can it be fixed?

    Thank you.

    :)

    Hi,

    • Open the Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press
      Enter
      :
      • powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
    • Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your PC to apply the changes.

After that, go to Power & sleep settings
by typing it into the Windows Search. Check the When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
    settings is set to Never.
