    I noticed a friend on Mac had a background where they could just type stuff in, like reminders to do things etc. Does anybody know if there is an equivalent for windows 10?

    High Contrast theme does not allow me to see background text on Windows 10.

    Can you post a screenshot? Not sure what background you're talking about...

    File Explorer? Edge? Notepad?

    I'd like to comment on your Subject line. Notepad is a text editor, not a word processor. There's not much you can do with it but some of the basic Windows display settings will apply to Notepad. Notepad is great for creating batch/.bat files and basic HTML/Hyper Text Markup Language Web pages. A large difference between a text editor and a word processor is in hidden coding, Notepad has none to very little while a word processor has quite a bit, things like settings such as Font color, size, margins, etc.
