Windows 10: Notepad did not save, Notepad++ used, MUST RESTORE

Hello,I had documentation written down on Notepad. It was the first time I had ever used Notepad++, but everything worked well. However, when I closed the document it DID NOT SAVE. There are hours of work on this document with specific details that are NEEDED for legal purposes. I have already checked the backups for Notepad++ and the temp files, but both of them are of an even older edit, not the one just performed. I depserately need this file back and quickly. Any help would be appreciated wholeheartedly. Thank you.

First time using Notepad

Hi,

Microsoft Notepad is a word processing tool included with Windows and is installed by default under the Accessories program group. If you want to create notes using Notepad, follow these steps:

• In the Cortana search bar, type Notepad.
• From the search results of Cortana, select Notepad.
• In the Notepad window, type your notes.
• If you're ready to save the Notepad file, click File.
• Choose Save as.
• On the Save as window, select the location where you want to save the Notepad file.
• In the File name text box, type the name of the Notepad file.
• Click Save.
