Windows 10: Notepad edit history

Hello all!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, please let me know where I should post it if it isn't.
I've gotten into coding a lot recently and have been using notepad as my working program. Recently, I made a simple little program but accidentally edited something I wasn't supposed to and didn't realize. I then saved the file, only to realize later that I had made a mistake. Does anyone have any clue if I can find my edit history, to show any deleted text in a .txt file?

We understand that you'd like to edit the format of documents using Notepad application.

If you're trying to open an Office document like Word or Excel using Notepad, be informed that since the app only detect pure text, it will lose all the format and objects originally came with the document.

You can follow these steps to open a document in Notepad:

1. Right-click the document file.

2. Select Open With, and select Notepad. If not its not on the list, click
Choose another app.

3. Select Notepad, and click OK.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

• Open Task Manager. Here’s a tip: press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
• Click on Startup tab.
• Select Notepad from the list and click on Disable.

I followed your suggestion but wasn't able to find Notepad listed on the startup. There are some listed as program but don't know which ones it could be.
