Windows 10: Notepad files not showing in file explorer

Hi,I went to look for a Notepad file in one of my folders one that I use regularly but couldn't see it. I had to search for it, and when I opened it and checked the path, it was exactly where I thought it was. I copied the address where I wanted to save it and tried Save As, but it said the file already exists. If it's in the folder, why isn't it showing? I have no reason to make this file hidden, but I checked that hidden files are visible, and they are. Does anyone know why Notepad files wouldn't show in one particular folder when they are visible in others?

Batch Files Knowledge Base

Don't use batch files very much but one I find useful is for creating a list of files in a directory.
Just copy the text below into Notepad and save as Filelist.bat

dir /a /-p /o:gen >filelist.txt

When you run it from a folder it will create a Filelist.txt file,in the same folder, that lists all the files in that folder.Useful when you are too lazy to type all the files out yourself.

Windows 10 File Explorer and Notepad Display Only Minimized

Hi,

I suggest you to open file explorer or notepad and maximize the screen before closing.

Next time when you open file explorer or notepad it will open maximized or full screen.
